Notes

  • This skill is particularly useful in PvE, as you know which elite skills your enemy will use against you and therefore can know ahead of time whether or not this skill is worth using, as well as which enemy needs to be targeted the most. Furthermore, most enemies do not have a full set of 8 skills, so shutting down any one of them will have a much greater effect overall than shutting down a human's. Combined with smart usage of Arcane Thievery and Diversion and a bit of luck, it is entirely possible to strip many monsters of their ability to use any skills at all!
  • In PvP, nearly all human foes will put a lot of thought into their Elite skill, so to be guaranteed to counteract one of their favorite skills is worth the skill slot. Effectively using this skill may require careful timing and studying of the battle clock. It is most effective against Elite skills that players like to invoke frequently (like Water Trident or Divert Hexes). By examining the opposing team's skill usages and noting when (on the clock) they were invoked, you can strip away their elites just before they use them again and disrupt their plans.
  • If the target has more than one elite skill in their bar, for example from Arcane Mimicry or from a capture, this signet will disable multiple elites.
