As an Area of Effect Verhexung, it is very useful as a Coverup Hex, not only hiding the original Verhexung, but also in a way hiding the person who was Hexed in the first place, making the original very difficult to remove.
Also powerful in combination with Schmaus der Verdorbenheit, which steals health from every nearby enemy who is Hexed.
Less useful on it's own though, -2 degen is pitiful against everything except the lowest of the low monsters.
