- As an Area of Effect Hex, it is very useful as a Coverup Hex, not only hiding the original Hex, but also in a way hiding the person who was Hexed in the first place, making the original very difficult to remove.
- Also powerful in combination with Feast of Corruption, which steals health from every nearby enemy who is Hexed.
- Less useful on its own. -2 degen is pitiful against everything except low level, early game monsters.
- With the introduction of Ulcerous Lungs, this skill will likely become less and less used, due to the similarities between the two and the obvious advantage the other spell has.
- It can still be useful when combined with Well of Darkness due to its low recharge time, however.
